My piece that was supposed to be published in SU’s literary and visual arts magazine, Fragments, was accidentally left out, due to an organizational error.
Not what I needed to hear right now.
I was so excited to finally feel accomplished, like someone actually appreciated my writing, and…
Instead of freaking out about the unknown, I’m going to:
- write more
- study more
- clear out clutter/clothes I never wear/things I never use
- re-organize
- re-do my wardrobe
- eat healthier
- work out more
- focus on my internship
- prioritize friendships
- appreciate the sun
- drink less coffee
and continue to work my ass off in the hopes of a transfer acceptance.
My chest no longer aches, my throat no longer feels tight, and my eyes no longer sting when you cross my mind. It’s been at 266 days since we talked last. And you know what? I think I’m finally ok with that.
Just landed an internship at Seattle International Film Festival this spring!!!!
What happened?

- Aerosmith: Every time I look in the mirror, all these lies are always gettin' clearer. The past is gone, it went by like dusk to dawn, isn't that the way everybody's got their dues in life to pay.
- OneRepublic: This town is colder now, I think it's sick of us. It's time to make our move, I'm shaking off the rust. I've got my heart set on anywhere but here, I'm staring down myself, counting up the years.
- Lynyrd Skynyrd: If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me? I'm a speech rambling on now, there's too many places I've got to see. But if I stay here with you girl, things just couldn't be the same, 'cause I'm as free as a bird now, and this bird you cannot change.
